As non-Indigenous music educators, we are responsible for being critical of our curricula, our teaching practices, and the space in which we teach. Non-Indigenous individuals must commit to uplifting Indigenous voices in all contexts and to challenge our current structures that neglect the contributions of Indigenous individuals and communities from the past and present.
